Colombia playmaker, James Rodriguez, is now a free agent.
Rodriguez’s contract with Sao Paulo has been terminated by mutual agreement, Goal reports.
The 33-year-old has one left on the deal, but has decided to leave earlier.
Rodriguez, who has previously played for Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Everton, is now eyeing a return to Europe.
The midfielder inspired his country to a second-place finish at this year’s Copa America.
Rodriguez, who was named Player of the Tournament, also set a new record at the tournament with six assists.
