Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, will not look to bring in any ‘big-name goalkeeper’ if Ederson leaves the club this summer.
Ederson is being heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, with Al Ittihad especially keen on his signature.
If the Brazilian departs, Guardiola will turn to his understudy, Stefan Ortega to step in.
Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, tweeted on Monday: ” In the event that Éderson left Man City to join Saudi Pro League, Man City’s starting GK would be Stefan Ortega.
“Talks City-Al Ittihad for Éderson ongoing but nothing done or easy.
“No interest in bringing in ‘big name’ as GK despite links with Donnarumma, Oblak and more.”
