Chelsea’s Premier League rival West Ham United are reportedly set to sign N’Golo Kante this summer transfer window.
Kante completed a free transfer from Stamford Bridge to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad last summer.
His performances for France at Euro 2024 have proved that he can still compete at the top level.
However, according to The Guardian, there are ongoing negotiations between the Hammers and Kante’s current employers over a possible move.
The France midfielder is contracted with Al-Ittihad till the summer of 2026.
The report added that a sum of around £20 million would be sufficient to complete a deal for the 33-year-old.
Kante is seen as a top priority for the Hammers after Manchester City loanee Kalvin Phillips failed to live up to expectations last term.
