Firm Lauds Family For Producing Varsity Chancellor

Enterprise artificial intelligence solutions provider, Isatong Group, has congratulated the Imafidon family for producing the world’s youngest university chancellor, Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon.

Imafidon, 33, replaces Dr Annie Lennox, who stepped down last year.

The founder and chief executive officer of the AI group, Engr Isaac Udotong, in a congratulatory message, described Dr Imafidon’s inauguration as the chancellor of Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), United Kingdom, on July 2 “as a well-deserved feat.”

Udotong, who was among the frontline dignitaries at the event, added that “we are thrilled by the immense honour bestowed upon Imafidon.”

He pointed out that “we at Isatong Group have long admired her remarkable achievements.”

“From her exceptional talent in computer science at a young age to her dedication to promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education through Stemettes, she has consistently broken barriers and inspired countless individuals, particularly young women and disadvantaged people, to pursue their passion in science and technology.

“Her leadership and unwavering commitment to diversity in STEM fields is truly commendable,” he said.

The CEO recalled that the new chancellor was the youngest girl to pass A-level computing at the age of 11 and earned her Masters’s Degree in mathematics and computer science from the University of Oxford when she was 20 years old.

She was made an MBE in 2017 for her services to young women and STEM.

Udotong, who also attended a Wembley concert by the multi-award-winning singer SINACH to honour the family, prayed for Imafidon’s success and impactful tenure and expressed optimism in her ability.
