Rodri was forced off at half time during Spain’s Euro 2024 final against England.

The Manchester City midfielder started at the heart of Spain’s midfield for the final at the Olympiastadion Berlin but lasted just 45 minutes as he was replaced by Martin Zubimendi at the break.

Rodri collided with Aymeric Laporte as he attempted to clear the ball away from the area towards the end of the first half.

He was subsequently seen clutching his left hamstring towards the end of the first half and signalled to the bench that there was an issue.

The 28-year-old then spoke to a member of Spain’s medical team as he left the pitch.

He was then seen with his hands on his head as he walked down the tunnel, giving a clear indication that his final was over.

Rodri came out to sit on the bench for the second half and was seen giving instructions to his teammates from the sidelines.

Spain took an early lead in the second half with Nico Williams’ excellent finish in the 47th minute.

Rodri has an incredible unbeaten run with Spain’s national side which stretches over 15 games.

The last game Spain lost over 90 minutes in which Rodri played came against Scotland during Euro 2024 qualifying.

Spain lost 2-0 in Glasgow in March 2023, with Scott McTominay scoring both goals to seal the win for Scotland.
