Manchester United have confirmed the 25-man squad they are taking to Norway to play Rosenborg in a friendly on Monday, with a number of big names missing out as they work on their fitness.

The Red Devils go to Trondheim to take on Rosenborg on Monday evening, with a string of players still either involved in Euro 2024 and the Copa America, or enjoying their summer breaks after playing in those competitions.

Six first team players who are back in training at the club will not travel for this game as they either recover from injury or work on individual fitness programmes.

Harry Maguire is still suffering with injury, while Andre Onana, Victor Lindelof, Amad, Antony and Jadon Sancho will all focus on regaining fitness in Manchester.

Plenty of youth team player will get the chance to shine against Rosenborg, but there are some star names involved as well, which the locals in Norway will be excited to see.

Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, Mason Mount and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are among the experienced players involved.

Tyrell Malacia is not included in the squad as he is also still struggling with the knee injury that kept him out of the entirety of last season, although he is back in training as well.
