Abia Warriors have appointed Imama Amapakabo as their new head coach, DAILY POST reports.
Amapakabo takes over from Bethel Oji, who led the team to the final of the President Federation Cup last season.
“We are excited to welcome back Imama Amapakabo on a two-year deal as the new coach,” the Umuahia club announced on social media.
“Show the Gaffer some love and get ready for an amazing journey together again.”
The 54-year-old managed Abia Warriors in the 2020 season.
Amapakabo has previously managed El-Kanemi Warriors and Rangers in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
He masterminded Rangers’ title success in the 2016 season.
