Nollywood star Omoni Oboli has advised ladies to have a source of income, especially if they are in a relationship.
The actress’ words come amid the legal battle between singer Davido and his babymama, Sophia Momodu over the custody of their daughter Imade.
One of the key issues in the counter affidavit filed by Momodu is Davido’s alleged neglect of his financial responsibility towards his daughter.
Speaking via an Instagram post, Omoni Oboli admonished the female folk to have what gives them money, adding that tough situations should not be a deterrent.
“Sisters!!! I don’t know who needs to hear this…but as a lady, have what you do that brings income, especially if you are in a relationship. It might be tough, but find something, please, sis, anything! There’s a reason for this! Always remember that I love you, and God loves you too,” she penned.
Recall that Daily Sun reported that media mogul Dele Momodu shared some insight into Davido and Sophia Momodu’s legal battle, revealing that the artiste’s dad paid for Imade’s outstanding school fees.
“The issues were: non-payment of school fees for several sessions; non-payment of accommodation and salaries of a nanny. There was no car dedicated to David’s daughter. And so on.
“Mercifully, I mentioned all to Dr Adedeji Adeleke and he responded positively, like a true grandfather. On the issue of non-payment of school fees, David’s Dad cleared everything and also set up payments of future bills.
“He gave his granddaughter a car to take her to school. The remaining issue was on accommodation”, he said.
