Victims of a prisoner who’s alleged to have had sex with a female guard have shared their anger at reports he would not receive further punishment if the allegations are proved.
36-year-old Linton Weirich was caught on camera on a smuggled phone allegedly having sex with prison officer Linda De Sousa Abreu at HMP Wandsworth.
De Sousa Abreu, 30, has been charged with misconduct in public office and appeared in court earlier this week after the video began circulating on social media last week.
Weirich, who reportedly has a pregnant girlfriend waiting for him at home, is serving a four year and nine month sentence for burglary at a dwelling and theft after stealing £65,000 worth of items from a safe in a flat in Kensington, central London.
He has been put in segregation but is unlikely to face further punishment and isn’t being investigated by the police, MailOnline reports, angering the prolific burglar’s multiple victims.
One victim targeted by Weirich in January said: ‘I was aware of the video. I just didn’t know that was our burglar. The whole thing seems surreal. This is not what we thought it meant to get hard time in prison.

Weirich broke into that victim’s home while she was having building works done, stealing some drills before being arrested.
Officers caught him because he was wearing an ankle tag at the time, with his victim adding: ‘I don’t think he’s the sharpest tool in the box.’
Another of his victims, who said his bike was stolen by Weirich in December, told The Sun: ‘He’s definitely not the smartest cookie if he was just targeting all the people on his doorstep.
‘I can see why police managed to catch him. It’s hardly justice though if he’s having fun in prison.’
De Sousa Abreu, a married swinger, was arrested at Heathrow Airport on Saturday before getting on a flight to visit relatives in Madrid, Uxbridge magistrates court heard, and her Portuguese passport she intended to use was seized by the Metropolitan Police.
But in her defence, solicitor Gayathri Yogarajah said De Sousa Abreu had notified HMP Wandsworth, telling them of her travel plans which was duly passed on to Scotland Yard.
She was granted conditional bail and will appear for a plea and case management hearing on July 29 at Isleworth crown court.
