The last day of election campaigning may have seen its most awkward moment so far.

Rishi Sunak appeared on the This Morning sofa earlier today for a grilling from hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard.

But it’s this photo of the prime minister sitting behind Britain’s most tattooed woman that has gone viral.

Becky Holt is pictured lounging in a white bikini while Mr Sunak awkwardly smiles in the background.

The pair then exchanged an uncomfortable look.

It’s just one of the many bizarre moments from this year’s election trail – from milkshake ‘attacks’ to Ed Davey’s daily stunts.

Metro.co.uk takes a look at the most memorable – and uncomfortable – moments of 2024 General Election campaigning.

As Becky sat and chatted to the This Morning crew, Rishi Sunak was photographed sitting behind her in his navy zip up sweater and beige trousers.

The pair were also photographed chatting after the show finished filming – we wonder what the conversation was about.

Shortly after Nigel Farage launched his election campaign, he had a banana milkshake thrown on him outside of a pub in Clacton, Essex.

After stepping out of the Moon and Starfish pub in the seaside town, where he will stand in the General Election, Victoria Thomas-Bowen, 25, threw the frozen treat.

The most entertaining politician on this year’s election trail is Ed Davey, who has wowed supporters – and critics alike – with his stunts.

The Liberal Democrats leader has been paddle-boarding in the Lake District, cycling in Wales, boating in Chichester, water-sliding in Somerset and baking with kids in Hertfordshire.

Has it sometimes looked more like an advert for vitamin supplements than an electoral campaign? Yes. But is that exactly what the Lib Dems planned? Also yes.

Keir Starmer is snubbed by This Morning’s dog, Buddy

During his appearance on This Morning in late June, Sir Keir raved about his experience at the Taylor Swift concert – but was snubbed by a beloved member of the show.

Buddy the dog seemingly didn’t want to meet the Labour leader, and refused to go up and greet him.
