An abandoned three-month-old baby boy has been rescued by a Good Samaritan in Anambra State.
The public relations officer of the Anambra State police command, Tochukwu Ikenga, said the baby was picked by the Good Samaritan in the early hours of yesterday (today). He was abandoned by the yet-to-be-identified mother in front of Oraukwu Boys High School, Idemili-North LGA of the state.
After picking up the child, he said the Good Samaritan brought him to the Eziowelle Police Station in Idemili-North LGA.
He said the state police command has already handed the child over to the director of the Welfare Department, Idemili -North LGA, and urged any member of the public who can assist the police in identifying the baby to come forward and do so to enable the state police command re-unite him with the mother.
