Ogun State government has warned the public to desist from selling and buying government assets in the state to individuals or corporate bodies.
The warning was made during a monitoring exercise by the Bureau of Lands and Survey, led by Esv. Fatai Adeboyejo, at Sabo, Abeokuta North Local Government Area of the state.
Adeboyejo decried the nefarious activities of encroachers, who were taking over some landed property acquired some years back by the government for public use.
He urged prospective land buyers to visit the office of the Director-General, Bureau of Lands and Survey at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, for inquiries and professional advice before any purchase.
Also, the Acting Surveyor-General in the Bureau. Surv. Oladele Ewulo stated that a task force has been set up to checkmate the unwholesome activities of land grabbers, adding that proper documentation was germane in land purchase.
