England captain, Harry Kane has heaped praise on teammate Jude Bellingham following his impressive display in the Three Lions’ Euro 2024 Round of 16 win over Slovakia on Sunday.
Bellingham scored a late stoppage-time goal to force the game into extra time.
However, Kane then scored the winner in the first half of extra time to ensure England defeated Slovakia 2-1 and advanced to the last-8.
Speaking about Bellingham after the game, Kane said the Real Madrid star is “one of the best in the country’s history”.
“We work on so many details throughout the week, we put in a long throw late a couple of days ago and we said we might need it,” Kane told ITV.
“Then obviously Jude does what Jude does, what an unbelievable goal and he’s kept our tournament alive.
“One of the best in our country’s history, what a player he is. He works so hard for the team and there’s been a lot of talk about him the last couple of days, but it shows what he can do.”
