The Lagos State Police Command has intensified efforts to curb crimes and map out strategies to combat the scourge of harassment and robbery incidents in communities throughout the state.
The State’s Commissioner of Police, Adegoke Fayoade consequently ordered the reorganisation of security personnel in crime-prone locations to curb instances of harassment and petty robbery.
Fayoade gave the directive when he visited Agege area of Lagos on a fact-finding mission following complaints of harassment and petty robberies along the rail lines in that area of the state.
Hence, CP Fayoade ordered a rejig of the security architecture in the area, charging DPOs within the vicinity to ensure optimal provision of security.
