No fewer than 300 indigenes of Abia State citizens living in Lagos State, under the umbrella of Abia State Town Unions Association (ASTUA), have held a rededication service/prayer to intercede for their home state, for progress and peace.
The one-day prayer summit/rededication with the theme: “Season of recovery,” held to seek the face of God for the affairs of Abia State and Nigeria took place at PEFTI Event Centre, Ajao, Lagos.
Dayo Gideon of Victory Sanctuary of S.A. Church, Lekki, who led the prayers, said the state will achieve economic growth and recovery.
The economy will recover beyond expectation.
Gideon said Abians came to call on God to heal their land and make it prosperous in a collective measure, that God who made them have Governor Alex Otti, whose policies have repositioned Abia State.
On his part, President of the association, Ejituru Ikenga, called on investors in textile industries to come to Aba and collaborate with the government for more progress.
Also, the 1st Vice President of ASTUA and Chairman, Organising Committee, Chuks Nwosu, said they understand the importance and efficacy of prayer, adding that whatever is handed to God is safe and secure.
“We have to come together to appreciate God for remembering us through the gift of a man in the person of Governor Otti and to hand over the entire state to him to govern.”
Nwosu commended Governor Otti, stating that he has changed the narratives in the governance and leadership of Abia State.
“It is the dawn of a new day, and we are glad. We have come to call on God for the sustainability of good governance and for clarity of direction to the governor and his team.
“Without God’s grace, wisdom, understanding, and power, you cannot do much. The prayers has helped us to humble ourselves, continually and consistently seek God’s face, turn from all forms of wickedness and corrupt practices, receive God’s forgiveness and total healing for the state,” he said.
