Everton are closing in on a deal to sign Wilfred Ndidi on a free transfer, DAILY POST learnt.
Ndidi will become a free agent at the end of this month having failed to agree a new contract with Leicester City.
Everton, Monaco, Olympic Lyon and Olympic Marseille are among the clubs vying for his signature.
The Toffees are now ahead of the queue as they are in advanced negotiation with the midfielder’s representative.
The Nigeria international, according to Football Insider, has also accepted to join the Merseysiders.
Everton are desperate to add Ndidi’s quality and experience to their midfield.
The 27-year-old has so far played 192 Premier League games for Leicester City.
Ndidi scored four goals and provided five assists in 32 league appearances for the club last term.
