Alhaji Musa Shuaibu, a community leader in Shabu, Lafia North Development Area of Nasarawa State, who was abducted on Thursday evening, has regained freedom from his abductors.
DAILY POST reports that Shuaibu, who holds the title of Madakin Shabu, was abducted just after the dusk prayer (Isha’i) on his way back to his residence metres away from the mosque.
While confirming his release to newsmen, the younger brother of the victim, Shu’aibu Madaki stated that his elder brother was released after the kidnappers collected the sum of 15 million Naira as ransom.
Madakin added that the payment was made on Sunday afternoon, after which his brother was released at noon on Monday.
He said his brother, Musa Shu’aibu is receiving medical attention at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, DASH due to some injuries he sustained while in captivity.
Recall that Ramhan Nansel, the state command’s PPRO said on Friday that the Nasarawa State Police Command were making efforts to arrest the criminals and rescue the victim unhurt.
