‘Glastonbury is life-changing,’ beamed rising star Caity Baser as she discussed 2024’s festival line-up, which had caused some controversy.
Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and Sza are all set to shine on the Pyramid Stage but there have been huge swathes of ticketholders venting about the line-up.
It’s hard to pinpoint what about the headliners is so bad — other than Coldplay taking the slot yet again — but this year has been plagued with complaints.
Caity, 21, is not impressed with all these naysayers, though and said defiantly: ‘Don’t go then.’
The Pretty Boys singer has had an incredible year, skyrocketing in popularity and performing at Capital Summertime Ball before heading to Worthy Farm.
She’s the penultimate performer on the Avalon Stage on Sunday, a prestigious spot ahead of 00s icons The Feeling.

‘Why do you care?’ Caity told Metro.co.uk. ‘I have never looked at a line-up for a festival and gone “Oh that sh*t”.
‘I don’t care [who is playing] like I’m going to go and enjoy. Also, Sza, what? She’s been my number one listened-to artist since I was like 12.
‘I love her so much! And Coldplay? What do you mean? It’s Shania Twain. What more do you want?’
The X & Y hitmaker added: ‘People need to chill out and I guarantee you when they’re there they’ll go “aw that was sick”. What’s all the fuss about?’
Last year, Caity enjoyed the ‘mini holiday’ in Somerset, basking in the sun and enjoying the music but after her explosive year she’s back to perform.
Despite being the UK’s biggest festival, Glasto isn’t intimidating to the Brighton-based singer who exudes confidence on and off stage.

‘I just write in the way that I would speak,’ the Showgirl singer shared. ‘Of course, some people aren’t gonna like me and the way I wear a dress or the way that I talk about things — but that’s fine.
‘It’s like when people are moaning about the lineup this year. There are so many people that are so excited, everybody has a preference. That’s what music is.
‘It’s interpretation and it’s opinion but I think once you just get over that and realise that if you like it, then it’s fine. There will be someone else who likes it too.’
Her cheeky songs include a track about her friend’s ‘really hot’ dad written after a day of ‘delulu’ and an iconic number called ‘I’m A Problem’.
Fitting in perfectly with the pop princess resurgence the charts are enjoying, Caity brings a bolshy edge reminiscent of Lily Allen in her prime.
There’s an irresistible charm that radiates off the star — it’s hard to believe she gets on stage and sings about ‘friendly sex’ or wanting to date two guys at the same time.
She laughed and revealed that she has had some interesting gigs, performing at a festival full of ‘families and mums’.
‘When I first came out to I’m A Problem, they were all like *pulls a face* and I could see them all staring at me. I thought “I’m just ignoring it and having a good time”.
‘By the end of it, they’re all smiling at me and going like fair f**ks. My whole thing is to just keep doing what I’m doing.’
While her on-stage demeanour could come across as arrogant, this couldn’t be further from the truth for the Southampton-born singer who struggled to fit in.

Over the years she’s developed a thick skin and now doesn’t let anything faze her, determined to laugh off any embarrassing situations so people don’t ‘feel sorry’ for her.
This is no sob story though, the Grow Up singer is determined to keep on growing and generally being iconic.
Caity promised her next album will have a very different sound, welcoming in a new era for her rule-breaking anthems.
She grinned when asked how she would describe her future and replied: ‘Different, gorgeous, perfect, stunning, elegant… Yeah elegant, come on!’
