This August Bank Holiday, music lovers have a chance to attend a major music festival for just £15.

Creamfields Music Festival is back this year and better than ever, with a lineup that includes Chase & Status, Calvin Harris, Tiesto, Michael Bibi and more.

While tickets are still available for the multi-award-winning festival, a day ticket costs £75 to £150, and multi-day tickets cost even more.

Tickets are usually the biggest expense that festival-goers will face when planning their trip, but Creamfields is offering guests a way to attend for almost nothing – as long as they’re willing to work.

Unlike many music festivals that are run by paid employees, Creamfields relies on volunteers to ensure that all 70,000 people in attendance have a fun and safe time.

Volunteering at the festival is a great way to attend essentially for free and make new like-minded friends while you’re at it.

Roles for volunteers include wristbanding, stewarding, working at an information point, or bar staff.

Volunteers responsible for wristbanding will collect tickets, give out wristbands (obviously) and generally help keep track of entry and exit from the festival.

Stewards will have an even more general role, helping to control crowds and generally creating a festive atmosphere.

Information point workers will be a touch point for festival guests with questions or concerns, and help to direct guests to various locations in the festival.

Working as volunteer bar staff is a pretty self explanatory role, and volunteers with bar tending experience are particularly encouraged to apply.

Volunteers will be expected to be on-site from August 21 (the day before the festival starts) to August 25, with one day devoted to training.

How to apply to volunteer at Creamfields

Those interested in volunteering and attending the festival for just £15 can register their interest here.

Luckily, volunteers will have plenty of time to enjoy the festival. They’re only expected to work three eight-hour shifts over the weekend, and they can enjoy the experience like the rest of the guests while they aren’t working.

It’ll cost you £35 to apply which includes a £20 deposit. This will be returned to your bank account at the end of the festival meaning the final cost is £15 to cover admin fees.
