Uefa have opened an investigation into claims England players were targeted with alleged ‘monkey noises’ during the Three Lions’ Euro 2024 win over Serbia.
The Daily Mail report European football’s governing body has appointed an inspector to investigate ‘alleged discriminatory behaviour’ during Sunday’s match.
It follows a report from a witness in the stands during the first-half of Sunday’s match.
Uefa have also charged the Serbian FA with two offences – the throwing of objects and the transmitting of a provocative message ‘unfit for a sports event’.
