A lorry driver had a narrow escape after the huge vehicle drove into a canal off a narrow bridge in Wiltshire.
The vehicle crashed off a bridge near Burbage in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, June 15, and went straight into the Kennet and Avon Canal.
Dramatic photographs from the scene show the lorry, which belongs to Spanish logistics company PrimaFrio, skidding off the A346.
Despite the dramatic decline, Wiltshire Police have confirmed that the driver was unharmed.
Drivers have been advised to find alternative routes while the road is closed.

Social media users were quick to make light of the situation, with one X user saying ‘You can’t park there mate’.
Another thought the picture needed a ‘David Attenborough voiceover’, posting ‘As morning breaks, a thirsty HGV comes down to the canal to drink…’
In a statement released by the force, Wiltshire Police said: ‘Drivers please be aware that the A346 north of Burbage is currently closed after a lorry left the carriageway and entered the canal in the early hours of this morning.
‘There are not thought to be any injuries, but a lengthy recovery operation is now underway.
‘Please find alternate routes.’
