Prince William made a private visit to the Secret Intelligence Service and nobody knows why.
The Prince of Wales met with MI6 on Thursday afternoon, and unlike most royal trips the details of the visit weren’t published in advance.
Instead, the meeting appeared afterwards in the Court Circular, the daily list of royal engagements which are published the next day.
The entry simply read: ‘The Prince of Wales this afternoon visited the Secret Intelligence Service.’
There weren’t any additional details or a specific location included, which are normally also published in advance, the Telegraph reports.
MI6 deals with foreign intelligence and protects the UK from external threats.
It comes as preparations for Trooping the Colour reach a crescendo ahead of the parade through London tomorrow.
