No fewer than 30 travelers, including several students from the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa, were abducted on friday by suspected kidnappers along the Abuja-Nasarawa Highway.
According to sources who requested anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the situation, the kidnappers ambushed the vehicles carrying the travelers and forced them into a nearby bush in the Uke area of Nasarawa State.
Among the abducted was a student from the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa, who was reportedly traveling to visit her family in Abuja.
The identities of the other victims have not yet been disclosed at the time of writing this report, and the exact number of abducted individuals remains unclear.
The Police is yet to release an official statement, and efforts to contact the Nasarawa state PPRO for comments have been unsuccessful.
