The Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) FCT chapter on last Tuesday held its interactive congress at the Blake Resort, Ahmadu Bello Way, Abuja.
The event which had stake holders from all the nooks and crannies of Abuja started with a lecture on security and identity.
Next was an elaborate talk on the importance of music business, branding and packaging of the association.
Emphasis was made on the need for the association to collaborate with various professional bodies to promote the works of musicians.
Radio and television were identified as a veritable source of popularising songs, so the association agreed to pay courtesy calls on the management of media houses to solicit for patronage.
In his speech, the governor of PMAN in the FCT, Sydney Jack’s (Sparrow) enjoined the members to endeavour to obtain the association’s identity card for easy identification in case of any emergency or random arrests.
The event ended with a concert that featured mostly upcoming Musicians who rocked the stage with their intricate stage performance that captivated the audience.
The climax of the concert was the unveiling of the association’s website that captured the whole essence of the benefits its members will enjoy as registered members.
