This is the terrifying moment an Audi speeds down the road before driving straight into another car.

Footage shows the flashy supercar attempting to swerve into the oncoming lane before hitting the silver 4×4, sending it spinning on Griffin Lane, Aylesbury, on Sunday.

The car which was hit is seen trying to desperately mount the pavement as the Audi hurtles towards it.

Debris and smoke is sent flying from the car while onlookers covered their mouths in shock.

The driver of the Audi has been named locally as the owner of a construction company.

Metro rang the company for comment, who promptly hung up the phone.

One woman who in the silver vehicle was reportedly taken to hospital.

Another woman who was a passenger said she saw her ‘life flash before her eyes’ after she was hit.

Alison Selwyn commented: ‘I was a passenger in the vehicle which was hit.

‘We saw our lives flash before our eyes yesterday. Never have we been so scared in our lives.

‘This is something that will plague us for a long while.

‘We are still here to tell the tale but it doesn’t make it acceptable in any way at all.’

Thames Valley Police and South Central Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.

Aylesbury residents shared their shock at the accident, saying the Audi’s reckless driver could have killed someone.

Nick Cox wrote on Facebook: ‘My daughter and her young children drive down that road nearly everyday, that could have been them that car hit.

‘They could have killed a three-year-old and a five-month-old.’

Rebecca Elvis said: ‘Some people should have never been allowed behind the wheel.

‘That’s one of the busiest toads in town at peak times. Hope those in the car were ok.

‘I don’t think we can underplay just how shaken they must be from this situation. disgusting behaviour.’

Riaz Ar commented: ‘We have family there, children, there could have been a little girl stepping out into the road.

‘Why do people think this is cool.’
