The National Museum Zoological Garden in Jos, Plateau State, on Friday, took delivery of two young male lions from the Presidential Wildlife Conservation in Abuja.
It was a homecoming for the Lions as some years back their parents were taken as young cubs from Jos Zoo to the Wildlife Conservation in Abuja as part of a conservation exchange initiative.
It was an elated moment as the Zoo manager, Miss Mary Oheagbu, and staff were on hand to receive them on arrival back to their root.
After a brief handing-over ceremony within the premises of the Zoo, they were taken to their permanent home amist jubilation.
The Zoo Manager, who was visibly excited, said the presence of the Lions will boost the number of visitors to the Zoo.
