The International Association Of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) has announced the appointment of Amb. Dr Julius Oyedemi JP as the Executive Director of the United Nations Association Of Africa (UNA-A).
The office is the coordinator office for the realisation of the United Nations (UN) ideals as well as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) within the Africa and to ensure African States participate in various United Nations conferences for peace and social justice in the continent.
Amb. Dr Oyedemi is renowned for his commitment to peace and the attainment of the ideals of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
A statement signed by the International Spokesman of IAWPA, Amb Dr Emmanuel Nkweke, said the letter of appointment of Dr. Julius Oyedemi will be presented to him in his office in Nigeria on Thursday, May 30, 2024, by the World Peace President of IAWPA, Amb Per Stafsen, at an event in Lagos, which will also be graced by members of the International Management Team of IAWPA.
The statement said UNA-A will be an independent body that will help coordinate the realisation of not only peace but the realisation of SDGs of the United Nations.
The statement described Amb. Dr. Oyedemi as an accomplished administrator with a strong zeal for the betterment of the human race.
“As part of our desire to ensure the success of the UN in Africa, we are establishing the UNA-A an association that will help coordinate peace and the attainment of the ideals of the UN within the African sub region. It is important to state that the association needed a with a capable hand hence the choice of Amb Dr Julius Oyedemi who since his appointment as Eminent Peace Ambassador, has shown strong commitment to the realisation of global and regional peace. It is our expectation that he will use this prestigious position for the benefit of the human race,” the statement added.
