A McDonald’s customer used DoorDash to order a triple cheeseburger with ‘everything removed’ and was pleasantly surprises by what he received.
Greg, whose handle on X (formerly Twitter) is @greg16676935420, shared a screenshot of his DoorDash receipt, which showed one triple cheeseburger with no ketchup, no pickle, no diced onions, no 1/10 lb beef, no mustard, no regular bun, no American cheese and no salt.
‘I ordered a triple cheeseburger with everything removed,’ he wrote on the social media platform on Saturday. ‘Stay tuned to see what happens.’
In another post while awaiting his delivery, Greg wrote: ‘Hopefully they don’t mess up my order (usually they do)’.
The DoorDash worker wound up sending a message to Greg to ensure that he was picking up what the customer desired.
Dan of DoorDash wrote, ‘You’re gonna get an empty box…you good with that?’
Greg said he responded, ‘Perfect, thank you.’
He received a brown bag from McDonald’s sealed together with stickers that read, ‘Your favorites sealed inside’.
Greg opened to the bag and shared a picture showing a burger box with nothing inside.
He pointed out that McDonald’s had gotten his order correct, except for one detail – that the literal nothing burger should’ve come with a Triple Burger container instead of a McCrispy box that he received.
The subtotal was $5.39, with a waived delivery fee, $3 service fee, $0.42 in estimated tax and an $11 tip for the delivery person. That came out to a total of $19.81 for Greg’s test order.
