England’s Euro 2024 key dates: Squad announcements, friendlies and fixtures

Euro 2024 is now just over three weeks away and excitement is starting to really build ahead of the huge tournament over the summer.

England manager Gareth Southgate is preparing to announce his preliminary squad this week, with some other countries already naming their initial 30-man squads.

There are two pre-tournament friendlies to come as players look to prove their worth to the Three Lions boss, while other hope to show they are fit enough to be included.

Then the tournament gets underway on 14 June, with host nation Germany taking on Scotland in the opener in Munich.

When will England’s Euro 2024 squad be announced?

Gareth Southgate will announce his preliminary squad at 2pm on Tuesday 21 May.

The preliminary squad can include up to 30 players and the final squad of 26 players must be confirmed by Friday 07 June.

When are England’s pre-tournament friendlies?

03 June
7.45pm: England vs Bosnia-Herzegovina – St James’ Park

07 June
7.45pm: England vs Iceland – Wembley

England’s Euro 2024 fixtures

England are in Group C along with Slovenia, Denmark and Serbia.

16 June
8pm (UK time): Serbia vs England – Arena AufSchalke, Gelsenkirchen

20 June
5pm: Denmark vs England – Frankfurt Arena, Frankfurt

25 June
8pm: England vs Slovenia – Cologne Stadium, Cologne

Round of 16: 29 June – 02 July
Quarter-finals: 05-06 July
Semi-finals: 09-10 July
Final: 14 July
