Manchester City are hoping to welcome back Jack Grealish and Nathan Ake for their huge Premier League clash with Tottenham on Tuesday.
City piled the pressure on Arsenal early on Saturday with a commanding 4-0 away win against Fulham to move temporarily top of the table.
However, Arsenal produced a gutsy display to beat Manchester United 1-0 the following day and ensure that the topsy-turvy title race will go to the final day of the season.
Pep Guardiola’s side, though, have a game in hand and can move two points clear of their title rivals heading into the final weekend should they beat Tottenham on Tuesday.
And the defending champions are set to be dealt a double injury boost, with Grealish and Ake returning to training ahead of the trip down to London.
Grealish missed Saturday’s clash with Fulham due to illness, while Ake limped off in the first half after suffering a foot injury, but Guardiola confirmed that both are in contention to return on Tuesday.
‘Jack has recovered from illness and Nathan was much better yesterday,’ he told reporters at his pre-match press conference on Monday.

‘Now we are going to train and we will see if he can train later today.’
Ange Postecoglou’s side have won just one of their last five league games, but Guardiola insisted he will not take the challenge lightly having been stung by Tottenham in a 3-3 draw earlier in the season.
