A man whose headless torso was found in woodland in Manchester has been named.
Police say they believe the remains belong to Stuart Everett, 67, who lived in the local area.
A torso – consisting of the bottom of the back, buttocks and thigh – was found in clear plastic by a passer-by at Kersal Dale Wetlands on April 4.
Remains were found at two further locations over the weekend and on Monday morning police said there had been a further discovery in an alleyway close to the railway lines off Worsley Road, Eccles.
Two men – Michal Jaroslaw Polchowski, 68, and Marcin Majerkiewicz, 42, both of Worsley Road, Eccles – have been remanded in custody after being charged with murder.
Investigations are continuing to build a fuller picture of the circumstances which led to Mr Everett’s death.
Detective Superintendent Lewis Hughes said: ‘My thoughts and the thoughts of officers and staff across Greater Manchester Police are with Stuart’s family at this traumatic time.
