The family of a boy who died in a serious road traffic collision in Keighley over the weekend have paid tribute to their ‘little joy’.
Ellis Lockley, 14, died from injuries sustained in the collision on Tarn Lane on Sunday afternoon.
A 21 year old man who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Ellis’s family paid tribute saying: ‘We as a family are totally devastated at the loss of our beautiful boy Ellis, he has left such a massive hole in our hearts.
‘We have received so much love and support from the community, he is so loved by everyone who knew him.
‘Whilst we appreciate people will want to pay tribute to our little joy Ellis, we hope that they do this with respect.’
Detective Inspector Paul Conroy said: ‘This is a tragic incident where a young boy has lost his life in a serious road traffic collision.
‘His family are being supported by specially trained officers.
‘I would appeal to anyone who was in the area yesterday who saw the vehicle or collision of who may have dash cam footage to come forward.’
