‘He’s a s***house!’ – Ian Wright reacts to Ben White antics during Arsenal’s north London derby win

Ian Wright has called Ben White ‘the thinking-man’s s***house’ after his antics during Arsenal’s north London derby win over Tottenham.

White was spotted trying to undo Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario’s gloves before a corner during Sunday’s derby.

Vicario, who tried to shrug White away, did not cover himself in glory during the 3-2 defeat as Tottenham conceded two goals from corners to miss the chance to dent Arsenal’s title hopes.

Wright was surprised Spurs did not put a player on White and allowed the England international to ‘f**k around’ and distract Vicario from set-pieces.

‘Ben White’s s***housery was beautiful,’ he said on the Wrighty’s House podcast. ‘He’s the thinking-man’s s***house, that’s the best way I can put it. 

‘The way Vicario got upset was f*****g brilliant, he went straight to 100 and all he did was try to undo his gloves. Vicarious was so f*****g angry! 

‘Ben White is a thinking-man’s s***house. There’s three games left now so everyone should know Ben White is going to go on the opposition goalkeeper and f**k around with him.

‘For Tottenham to concede two goals with no one marking our s***house is poor, it’s poor. It’s poor from Tottenham and that definitely cost them.’

Spurs started the 195th north London derby brightly but fell behind on 15 minutes as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg glanced Bukayo Saka’s corner into his own net.

The hosts then had a goal ruled out for a tight offside after a VAR check before Saka doubled Arsenal’s lead following a quick counter-attack.
