President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, said Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Eno has, within 11 months, united the state across party lines.
Akpabio, in a birthday message personally signed by him, described Eno as a peace loving leader, adding that his tenure, so far, has been encouraging and promising with the numerous developmental strides.
Akpabio, a two-term former governor of the state, assured the state governor of his support, and that of the 10th Senate, to make the state a reference point in the comity of states.
His words, “On behalf of my family, the people of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District and the 10th Senate, I rejoice with my dear Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, on this auspicious occasion of your 60th birthday celebration today.
“It is a truism that when the righteous are on the throne, the people rejoice. Under one year, you have turned Akwa Ibom into one big vivacious family soused in cordiality.
“Your emergence as the Governor of Akwa Ibom State and the accompanying peace, love, development in the state in the last 11 months, are indicators to the fact that God is with you and your government.
“As you celebrate this day, be assured of my support and that of the 10th Senate under my leadership, in your efforts at making Akwa Ibom State, a better place for us all including children yet unborn.
“Once again, happy birthday Your Excellency and many happy returns of the day,” he concluded.
