Bayelsa Deputy Governor, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo has been appointed as head of the Ondo State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship primary election scheduled for Thursday.
This is contained in a statement on Wednesday in Akure by the Publicity Secretary of PDP in the state, Kennedy Peretei.
DAILY POST reports that seven governorship aspirants had been cleared by the Sen. Sam Egwu Screening Committee to participate in the primary election.
The statement said a total of 627 delegates from the 18 local government areas of the state would elect the governorship flag bearer of the party at the International Culture and Events Centre in Akure.
It stated that accreditation of delegates would commence at 10:00am.
The party warned that people who were not delegates or had no meaningful business at the venue should keep a reasonable distance from the venue.
DAILY POST reports that the governorship election in the state is scheduled to hold on November 16.
