Nasarawa State University, Keffi, NSUK, has appointed its first female Vice-Chancellor.
Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, a professor of Islamic Studies, has been selected to lead the institution.
The announcement was made public by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Barrister Muhammad Ubandoma-Aliyu, on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the appointment was approved by Governor Abdullahi Sule and follows extensive consultations and a thorough review of the recommendations from the Professor Attahiru Jega-led Governing Council.
Governor Sule, exercising his powers as the Visitor to the state-owned university, officially approved Professor Liman’s appointment, which will take effect from April 15th, 2024.
