An eight-year-old schoolboy has died after being struck by a car on a residential street.
He died at the scene in the Wiltshire cul-de-sac, despite attempts by an air ambulance crew and other paramedics to help him.
Emergency services were called to the collision in Woodland View, Dilton Marsh, at 4.30pm yesterday.
His family have been informed and is being supported by a specialist officer.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: ‘Our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time.
‘A man in his 30s is being interviewed, as is usual in these circumstances.
‘Any witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have dash cam are asked to contact the serious collision investigation team.’
