Cops are responding to a shooting at a high school in Dallas that has reportedly left one student injured.
The shooting broke out at Wilmer Hutchins High School shortly after 10.30am on Friday, police said.
Emergency responders arrived at the Dallas ISD secondary school before 11am and transported the victim to a nearby hospital. The student’s condition was not immediately known.
The school district in a Facebook post at 11.14am stated that ‘everyone is safe’.
‘Police are on site to ensure our school remains secure,’ stated Dallas ISD officials on Facebook.
‘At this time, we ask for everyone to refrain from coming to the campus, as we limit access inside. Parents will receive a letter with more details later.’
