Angela Rayner is being investigated for potentially breaking electoral law over her living arrangements.
Police are looking into claims that the deputy leader failed to give her correct address on official paperwork.
The claims are linked to questions over whether she paid the right amount of tax when she sold her council house in 2015.
Ms Rayner bought the semi-detached home in 2007 under the Right to Buy scheme introduced by Margaret Thatcher.
The tax concerns are not under the scope of the current investigation, which is looking at a potential breach of electoral laws.
