A comprehensive security measure ahead of the Eid-el-Fitr has been announced by the Kaduna state police command.
Mansir Hassan, the command’s public relations officer, in a statement on Tuesday, explained that in response to potential security threats during the festive period, the command has adopted meticulous operational strategies aimed at curbing the activities of criminal elements in the state.
Hassan added, “Conventional and mobile police personnel, including operatives from the Special Intervention Squad, SIS, have been strategically deployed to keep the peace in the state.”
According to him, undercover operatives have been tasked with monitoring key and vulnerable points, while reassuring the public of its readiness to promptly respond to any distress calls and to decisively deal with any individual or group attempting to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere during the festive period.
He stressed that in collaboration with all security agencies in the state, the command seeks to reassure members of the public of their safety.
The PPRO explained that citizens are encouraged to carry out their lawful activities without fear of intimidation or harassment from any quarter.
