At least two persons have been killed and ten others injured when a bomb went off in a market area in Pakistan’s southwest Balochistan province.
It was gathered that the incident happened on Sunday night when an improvised explosive device planted in a motorbike exploded.
The device exploded in Khuzdar district of the province, police sources from the province told Xinhua.
“A police vehicle on routine patrol in the district was the target.
“The target was missed by a few seconds as it barely crossed the area when the blast occurred,” an official source said.
NAN reports that the policemen escaped unhurt in the attack, but civilians who were shopping for the forthcoming Islamic festival of Eid al-Fitr near the site were killed and injured in the attack.
The injured victims, including women and children, were shifted to hospitals.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
