Yellow weather warnings spanning almost half a week have been issued, warning people of travel disruption and potentially risky conditions.
It comes after Storm Kathleen battered the UK, cancelling flights yesterday and making it difficult for the ones still scheduled to land.
The Met Office said today that much of Scotland would be affected today and going on until Tuesday.
Dangerous conditions will begin with strong winds in the far northern Highlands and Argyll and Bute, then move south as the week goes on until covering an area close to England before dispersing towards the North Sea.
On Monday and Tuesday, heavy rain is predicted which could cause some flooding.
People in affected areas were warned of travel delays today, especially in coastal areas and for high-sided vehicles more affected by winds.
‘Some short term loss of power and other services is possible,’ the warnings added.

As the week goes on, rainfall on Monday night and Tuesday ‘could cause some transport disruption and damage to homes and businesses, via flooding’, the warnings say.
It comes after winds as high as 73mph were recorded in Drumalbin, South Lanarkshire.
A previous warning stretched from the Scottish Borders to just south of Stirling, spanning the west coast and much of central Scotland, and ending just short of the east coast.
Vincent Fitzsimons, Sepa’s flood duty manager, said: ‘Across the weekend, Scotland is braced for impacts from Storm Kathleen including very high winds and coastal flooding in western areas.’
Scotland’s ferry operator CalMac announced a number of cancellations because of the weather, with warnings that other services may be cancelled at short notice.
