A British tourist is said to be fighting for his life after plunging from the third-floor of an apartment block in Magaluf.
The man, believed to be aged around 25, was rushed to hospital with ‘very serious’ injuries to his face and head.
The drama occurred at 6am this morning.
The apartment block he plunged from has been named as the Maria Elena building in a street called calle Federico Garcia Lorca.
Local reports describe him as British although police have not yet made any official comment on his nationality.
They are understood to be working on the theory he lost his balance while under the effects of alcohol after a night out partying with friends.
They believe he may have fallen after trying to jump over a wall separating the street from a patio inside the apartment complex.

One island newspaper said he had been in a ‘critical’ condition when he was taken to Son Espases Hospital in the Majorcan capital Palma.
The building he fell from is the same one an expat 23-year-old bar worker was found dead in nearly four years ago.
Danielle Finlay’s body was discovered next to a suicide note in May 2020, just a few days before her 24th birthday.
A coroner recorded a version of suicide at a subsequent inquest into the death of the young woman from Crewe, Cheshire, who at the time was working in Magaluf after hearing she left a note which said: ‘I feel alone all the time and I am exhausted.’
Danielle, who described herself on social media as a ‘Queen building her own empire” had worked in the Majorcan party resort for several years.
She lived alone at the Maria Elena apartment block.
A hospital source confirmed: ‘The 25-year-old patient is in intensive care with multiple injuries.’
