Thomas Tuchel has confirmed Bayern Munich could be without five key players for next week’s Champions League showdown against Arsenal.

The soon to be deposed German champions travel to north London next week for the first leg of their quarter final tie, already at a huge disadvantage given UEFA’s decision to ban their supporters from attending.

Tuchel was forced to concede the Bundesliga title last weekend following a comprehensive home defeat against Borussia Dortmund, and the club’s last remaining hope of avoiding a rare trohphyless campaign comes in Europe.

The former Chelsea manager is due to stand down at the end of what has been a torrid campaign, one that has taken a fresh downturn following a spate of injuries.

‘Manuel Neuer, Kingsley Coman, Leroy Sané, Aleks Pavlović (ill) and Nous Mazraoui are not in the squad tomorrow,’ Tuchel confirmed ahead of tomorrow’s game against Heidenheim.

‘Rapha Guerreiro is back in the squad. The problem is that all 5 players are out not because of rest, but all have problems. Therefore they are a doubt for Arsenal as well.’
