A gang of robbers are being hunted after smashing their way into a jewellery store in front of shocked bystanders.
Mirpur Jewellers in Leeds was targeted on Thursday evening by at least four men in dark clothing and balaclavas.
Footage appears to show three of them clambering out of the rubble of the shopfront carrying sledgehammers and handfuls of loot.
A fourth man is then seen abandoning a Toyota 4×4 in the middle of the road before joining the other three in an Audi which was seen speeding off.
It’s thought the gang may have rammed the store with the Toyota before using the sledghammers to break open the damaged shopfront.
A relative of the shop’s owner told the BBC most of their stock had already been packed away when the raid happened.
