Former First Lady Melania Trump is finally going to campaign for her husband, Donald Trump, to return to the White House – but not alongside him on the trail.

Melania is set to hold her first big political event for Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign this month, all within the confines of her Mar-a-Lago home.

She will be hosting the Log Cabin Republicans’ fundraiser on April 20, states an invitation obtained by Politico. The event will kickoff the organization’s Road to Victory program targeting swing state voters.

Melania’s was largely out of the public eye in recent months amid her mother’s illness and death in early January.

In a rare appearance with her husband in mid-March to vote in the Florida presidential primary, Melania was asked by a reporter if she would hit the campaign trail. She replied with a smile, ‘Stay tuned.’

The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Melania’s upcoming event from Metro.co.uk.

Melania was a special guest and received an award at a dinner that the Log Cabin Republicans held at Mar-a-Lago in 2021.

The Log Cabin Republicans’ website states they are ‘the nation’s original and largest organization representing LGBT conservatives and straight allies who support fairness, freedom, and equality for all Americans’.

They are ‘LGBT Republicans and straight allies who support equality under the law for all, free markets, individual liberty, limited government, and a strong national defense’, according to their mission statement.

Melania received much attention and praise on social media on Sunday when she appeared alongside her son, Barron, and her father to join her husband at an Easter Brunch at their Palm Beach resort.

Her husband in September said that she would join him on the campaign trail ‘pretty soon’.

‘She’s a private person, a great person, a very confident person, and she loves our country very much,’ the ex-president told NBC’s Meet the Press at the time.

‘And honestly, I like to keep her away from it. It’s so nasty and so mean.’

In December, Mar-a-Lago insiders said that the ex-president ‘reached an agreement with Melania to step up top-tier diplomatic appearances in 2024’, a source told Page Six.

Melania, who is popular among her husband’s followers, has been viewed as a secret weapon of sorts to activate support for her husband at the polls.
