The pro-chancellor of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) and chairman of council, Prof. Attahiru Muhammadu Jega, has approved the appointment of Prof. Abdullahi Sallau Modibbo as the acting vice-chancellor.
The appointment followed the expiration of the tenure of Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed which came to an end on Tuesday 2nd April 2024.
A statement by the registrar and secretary to council of the university Bala Ahmed II, said Professor Modibbo will serve in acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive vice-chancellor.
It said the appointment takes effect from Tuesday 2nd April 2024.
It added that as acting vice chancellor, Professor Modibbo will cover the office of the vice-chancellor and take full responsibility for the day-to-day administration of the university in consultation with the Pro-Chancellor.
Until his current appointment, Modibbo was the deputy vice chancellor (Academics) of the university.
