A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman’s body was discovered in a Birmingham home.

The victim, aged 48, was found in a property on Mulwych Road, Birmingham, around noon yesterday after concerns were raised for her welfare.

Around 5.30pm yesterday, a man was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.

An investigation is ongoing into the woman’s cause of death, according to DCI Laura Harrison from West Midlands Police.

She said: ‘We’re working hard to establish exactly what has happened, and to provide answers for the woman’s family who are understandably devastated by her death.

‘We believe the woman was known to the suspect and we are not currently looking for anyone else as part of the investigation.’

Police have plead for anyone who saw something ‘out of the ordinary’ to come forward, and share dash camera footage if they have it.
