Flames towered above a residential area last night as a huge fire took hold in a derelict barn.
Firefighters had to work throughout the night to contain the blaze in Oldham, near Manchester, with video from the scene showing towers of orange smoke.
Six fire engines were called to the emergency in Royton first reported at 7.20pm yesterday evening.
The barn was left completely gutted after fire tore through the timbers, with police and firefighters still there this morning to make sure the area was safe.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: ‘At just before 7.20pm yesterday (March 30) six fire engines from Rochdale, Ashton, Littleborough, Whitefield and Chadderton fire stations were called to a fire involving a derelict barn and some trees on Harewood Drive, Royton.
‘Firefighters set up a cordon and used three jets, one high pressure hose and one hose reel to quickly extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading.
‘Crews worked through the night to damp down any remaining hot spots and clear debris to make the area safe. GMFRS remain in attendance.’
