This is the harrowing moment moment a man plummeted to his death after his parachute became entangled.
Footage shows the paraglider in the middle of a flight during the ‘Discovering the Great Forest – Sa Thay 2024’ Kon Tum tournament in Vietnam.
The 39-year-old paraglider, who has not yet been named attempting to land in an empty field.
In the video, the cords of his parachute become tangled while he is still up in the air.
Moments later, he is seen crashing to the ground to the horror of people who had gathered to watch the tournament.
Two people can be seen racing towards him as the footage comes to an end.
The incident happened on Saturday in Sa Thay District, in the Kon Tum Province.
The man, who is said to have been a resident of Hanoi, was taken to the Kon Tum Hospital.
Report from local media suggest he died from injuries to his brain and chest.
